This is a guy that’s been rattling around in my head for years. (Phew!! Glad he’s outta there – should have more room on the main frame now.) Needs some tweaking. I started by drawing all the scales….Te-di-ous!! So I erased and just went w/a few. (I so admire those who will do all those beautiful details…but for just a sketch – this is what you get from me.)
I envision full color in purple, yellow, and green – the dragon not the girl.
OH – and for those of you who follow my bunny tales…look at the lower right corner. I had it tacked to the wall to take a pic – the phone rang – it apparently fell down and when I came back ….RRR RABBIT!
This is November so Remember to check out SkADaMo at Linda Silvestri’s site.
I like this dragon! And I like that your bunny got his say in the matter.
Thanks, Rhythm! A bunny nibbles all day long, a bunny doesn’t think its wrong. He nibbles mittens, mufflers, mops, He only pauses when he hops. (Clare T. Newberry)
LOVE your dragon, Laura!! Have you written any dragon stories to go with him? If not, you should– he’s a keeper!!
Thanks, Kim – and yes I have – working on the edit now.
Love it. I think my favorite part is the mermaid side-braid. You wouldn’t want a little girl to go around looking like Laura Petri!!
Thanks, Genevieve! I always wanted to have Laura Petrie’s clothes when I was growing up. I always thought she was so beautiful….but you’re right – it scared even me when the little girl had helmet hair.
Love the dragon! I know what you mean about admiring people who do all those details. I’m to lazy, I’d rather imply the details, heehee!
Thanks, Linda – I appreciate that from one so talented. I’d like to think that by implying the details we are confident in the imagination and intelligence of our audience. 🙂
Fun! Gotta love an inside joke!
oooo-you just reminded me of something from my college years. My friend had no money at Christmas. so she made our group of friends all mobiles from poster board, using our ‘inside joke catch phrases.’ words like yoo-hoo, what a bite, middens, and pancakers. I know it means nothing to anyone else – but you just gave me a grin from the past. thanks, Julie!
Great idea! I once made an advents calendar mobile with fun things to do with the kids instead of sweets – that was before they knew better!
